Pasadena-based Pankow Special Projects LP has begun construction on the $10 million renovation of the Village at Corte Madera, a 428,000-sq.-ft. shopping mall in Marin County, owned by Santa Monica-based Macerich Co.

The makeover will include ADA upgrades, new site lighting, landscaping, hardscaping, seating areas and fountains, new paint and architectural enhancements to create a richer, more inviting outdoor setting.

Completion is scheduled for mid-December 2005. The architect on the project is San Francisco-based Patri Merker Architects.
