San Diego-based KMA Architecture & Engineering has promoted Jim Belmont to senior associate to oversee the firm's mechanical-engineering team and hired Ron Bastin, P.E., as senior electrical engineer and Jay Guerrero as electrical designer.
Belmont's current projects in San Diego include the design of the mechanical systems of several of KMA's residential mixed-use design projects, including Citymark's Aperture in Little Italy, and Park Terrace and Nexus in the East Village. He is also currently overseeing engineering system designs for the $45 million Joint Strike Facility in El Centro.
Bastin will oversee the KMA's electrical engineering team. He previously served as director of engineering at TMAD Engineers Inc. He also has worked as director of electrical engineering at Syska & Hennessey Inc. and as a project engineer at NTDStichler.
Guerrero also previously worked at TMAD. He is currently studying for LEED accreditation.
