Tim Cahill National Director Cahill and colleague Fernando Vasquez are working on designs for the new 68,000-seat, $987-million San Francisco 49ers football stadium. It will be in Santa Clara, which is not going down well with San Francisco, where the 49ers' home field is now located. Santa Clara's city council recently approved a $10-million site-preparation budget. "The Santa Clara site has more access and parking already in place than most of the sports projects we've designed," says Cahill. "That's a huge bonus and benefit." If all goes as planned, the new stadium will open in 2015. |
