Kevin Johnson Mayor
City of SacramentoWith negotiations for a new basketball arena for the Kings franchise falling through, Mayor Johnson had some good news for a change: Sacramento received a $15-million federal TIGER grant for the Sacramento Valley transit station rehab project in the Railyards redevelopment region. Johnson says: "At a time when gas prices are high, it's more important than ever that we invest in projects that will relieve congestion, improve the safety of our transportation systems and provide Americans with affordable, efficient options for reaching their destinations."
