Submitted By: Lee Choo, School Photographer, California State University, Northridge 04/11/2011 This photograph of the newly opened Valley Performing Arts Center at California State University, Northridge in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles was shot just before the sun dropped below the horizon. The timing allowed for the exterior of the building to be illuminated while still permitting the interior lights to stand out, creating a balance of natural and artificial lighting.
