City of Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power is requesting proposals for the engineering, procurement and construction of a new double-circuit transmission line between Barren Ridge Switching Station and Haskell Canyon Switching Station. The five-year project, valued at up to $300 million, will also upgrade the existing 230-kV transmission line between Barren Ridge and Rinaldi Receiving Station and add a fourth 230-kV circuit between Castaic Power Plant and Haskell Canyon. City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering is seeking statements of qualifications from design-build entities for the Terminal Island Water Reclamation Plant Advanced Water Purification Facility Ultimate Expansion in San Pedro. Bid Results

Anaheim City Council selected Turner Construction Co., Anaheim, and Kansas City, Mo.-based Populous as the design-build team to perform a 200,000-sq-ft expansion of the Anaheim Convention Center. The $180-million project will create flexible meeting/exhibit space, add new loading docks and build a pedestrian bridge connecting to the existing facility.
