Hathaway Dinwiddie Co., a San Francisco-based general contractor, in April started the structural steel phase on 2000 Avenue of the Stars, a 12-story, 790,000-sq.-ft. Class A office building in Century City. The $141 million development by the Trammel Crow Co. is on schedule for completion in October 2006.

The complex is located on the former site of the ABC Entertainment Center.

"The building will offer large contiguous blocks of space, efficient floor plans providing space flexibility for large and mid-size tenants and unrivaled amenities, including a 4-acre park to cultural center to destination restaurants and stylish cafes," said Brad Cox, a Trammel Crow principal.

The project architect for the striking structure is San Francisco-based Gensler.

Dallas-based Trammel Crow is the developer and leasing agent for 2000 Avenue of the Stars. About 180,000 sq. ft. of office space has been pre-leased, Cox said.
