Recent Bay Area migration to the northern San Joaquin Valley
has set the stage for development of affordable and market-rate
housing followed by retail and commercial
construction. Stockton, among the biggest benefactors of the
arrival of new residents, will soon welcome a mammoth mixed-use
waterfront center.

As a flood of newcomers saturate the northern San Joaquin
Valley to find more affordable housing prices, developers
are following along with large housing tracts and retail
centers. And Stockton is investing heavily in a multi-venue
waterfront center.
