Cavignac & Associates Earn CWCA Designation

SAN DIEGO -- Five members of Cavignac & Associates, a San Diego-headquartered commercial insurance brokerage firm, have earned the coveted Certified Workers Compensation Advisor designation from the Institute of WorkComp Advisors: company principals Jeff Cavignac, CPCU, RPLU; Jim Schabarum, CPCU, AFSB; and Scott Bedingfield, CIC, AAI; as well as account executives Rob Supple, CIC, AAI; and Jeff Steen, RPLU.

The Institute of WorkComp Advisors launched its Certification Program in October 2001. Since that time, Cavignac's personnel have become five of only 176 insurance brokers nationwide who have earned the CWCA designation, considered the ultimate "stamp of approval" when it comes to expertise in the workers compensation field.

"Because workers compensation has become a much larger part of our clients' insurance portfolios, we wanted to go to the next level in order to more effectively manage their workers compensation costs," Cavignac said. "By going through the Institute's Certification Program to achieve this designation and implementing many of the techniques that are recommended, we can more effectively assist our clients in this area. We're continually working to expand and strengthen the 'Value Added Services' that our firm provides in order to properly manage risk for our clients."
