Basin Street Closes on Santa Rosa
Purchase
Coming on the heels of a major expansion push
into Napa, Basin Street Properties, a leading North Bay developer
of commercial and mixed-use properties in Sonoma, Marin and
Napa counties, has expanded its portfolio with the purchase
of five buildings totaling 136,000 sq. ft. in Santa Rosa.
Current tenants include the County of Sonoma, Kelsey Richardson
and Amys Kitchen.
Petaluma-based Basin Street Properties purchased
the five buildings from Insignia for an undisclosed amount.
The deal brings Basin Street Properties
total portfolio to approximately 1.7 million sq. ft. and follows
the companys recent acquisition of the 150,000-sq.-ft.
Napa Airport Centre.
This is an exciting time for us, particularly
considering the general state of the economy and real estate
market, said Matt White, president of Basin Street Properties.
This acquisition, along with our recent Napa purchase,
is a testament to our commitment to the North Bay and our
ability to meet the needs of a growing and diverse range of
tenants.
Said Basin Street Vice President Scott Stranzl,
The southwest region of Santa Rosa is an ideal growth
area for a number of reasons, such as its central location
and growing population base. Adding these buildings
to our existing properties in Santa Rosa, including Oak Valley
Business Park, provide us with a unique and advantageous position
in offering our tenants choices.
ValleyCrest Acquires Impact Group
Calabasas-based ValleyCrest Cos., the nation's largest privately
held landscape services firm has acquired the Impact Group,
a landscape maintenance company headquartered in Delray Beach,
Fla. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition of the Impact Group broadens ValleyCrests
existing southeast Florida operations and landscape services
capabilities in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Under
terms of the agreement, the Impact Group will operate as ValleyCrest
Landscape Maintenance.
We share a common commitment to responsive customer
service and a similar approach to delivering quality landscape
maintenance, said Richard A. Sperber, ValleyCrest president.
As a national company, we bring technical expertise,
resources and depth of experience to an already outstanding
organization.
Co-founded by Ray Keenan in 1990, the Impact Group provides
landscape maintenance services for a broad range of commercial
customers including property management companies, office
parks and homeowner associations.
Although the landscape maintenance industry is still
fragmented following the roll-up activities of the late 90s,
we believe the opportunities for strategic acquisitions remain
strong, Sperber said.
Founded in 1949, ValleyCrest Cos. employs a workforce of more
than 7,500, with sales in excess of $600 million.
